How to clean dandruff?

I've been struggling with dandruff for quite some time now, and no shampoo seems to completely get rid of it. What are some effective ways to clean dandruff off my scalp and hair?

Honestly, I'm too tired to even look in the mirror, but the dandruff snowfall on my black t-shirts was getting out of hand. I just started using an over-the-counter ketoconazole shampoo twice a week. It works, but honestly, getting some proper sleep might also help my stressed-out scalp.

At my age, half my hair is gone and the other half is full of dandruff, quite a tragedy! I tried all those smelly onion juices, but a simple anti-dandruff shampoo from the chemist did the trick. Just apply it, keep it for five minutes while you contemplate life, and then rinse.

I had terrible dandruff last winter and it was so embarrassing during office meetings. What really worked for me was using a salicylic acid shampoo and washing my hair with lukewarm water instead of hot water. Also, stop putting heavy hair oil on an itchy scalp, it only feeds the fungus!

Stress plays a major role in both my high blood pressure and sudden dandruff flare-ups. Along with my regular BP checkups, my doctor suggested maintaining clean hair hygiene and managing stress. Using a mild coal tar shampoo twice a week keeps my scalp clear.

Don't scratch your scalp too hard, you'll end up getting a painful infection. Dandruff is super common and completely treatable, so don't stress. Just get a good antifungal shampoo like Scalpe and use it twice a week. If it still doesn't go, we will visit a dermatologist together.

From what I see daily, most people don't leave the anti-dandruff shampoo on long enough for it to work. Next time, lather it up, leave it on your scalp for 3 to 5 minutes, and then wash it off. Also, make sure to wash your comb and pillow covers regularly to prevent re-infection.

Dandruff often indicates excess heat or dryness in the body. I found that daily pranayama, especially Sheetali, helps cool down the system, and applying a little curd on the scalp before bathing naturally cleanses it. Keep your diet simple and sattvik for overall skin health.
