How to check thyroid at home female?

My elder sister was recently diagnosed with thyroid issues, and she's been telling me to get myself checked too. I've been feeling a bit low on energy lately, and I'm wondering if there's any simple way I can do a preliminary check at home, just to see if I need to visit a doctor.

True, you can't really do a proper check at home on your own. It is always better to just book a home collection blood test for TSH, it is very quick.

Haan, pure ghar pe accurate checking toh nahi ho sakti na. Physical check up ke liye just drink a sip of water in front of the mirror and see if there is any swelling in the neck, but main toh blood test hi hai.

Honestly I keep touching my neck looking for swelling and worrying if my fatigue is because of thyroid. Did anyone else also feel super anxious before actually getting their blood reports done?

Haan na, home testing is not reliable at all for these things. Just do a neck check with water for peace of mind, but doc will tell you to get a blood test anyway.

Please don't stress yourself by trying to find physical signs at home, my dear. Just keep a positive mind and get a simple blood test done from a nearby lab to be absolutely sure.

I totally understand how stressful it is when you feel your body changing and want to check right away. But honestly, trying to self-diagnose at home only increased my panic, so getting a proper lab test is the best way to quiet the mind.
