How to check if u have diabetes?

My father has diabetes, so I'm always a bit concerned about my own health. I've been feeling thirsty more often lately. What are the common ways to check if you have diabetes?

Watch out if you are feeling constantly thirsty, urinating very frequently, especially at night, or feeling unusually tired. We noticed these signs in my child and immediately got a fasting blood sugar test done. It's a simple prick test, so please get it checked at a lab.

My dad has diabetes, so we keep a glucometer at home. If you feel dizzy or have sudden sugar cravings, you can check your levels using a home testing kit, but going to a lab for an HbA1c test is the most accurate way to know for sure.

While eating methi seeds and drinking bitter gourd juice are good for maintaining general health, they cannot diagnose or cure diabetes. You must visit a diagnostic lab for proper fasting and post-prandial blood sugar tests to know where your health stands.

I also want to know about this because my grandmother had it. Does a dry mouth or feeling sleepy after eating always mean it's diabetes? I am planning to visit a clinic soon to get some advice on what tests to book.

Since I have PCOS, insulin resistance is a big concern for me, and it can sometimes lead to diabetes if not monitored. I get my fasting insulin and blood sugar checked every six months. I highly recommend getting a lab test done instead of guessing.

Please do not ignore early symptoms like slow-healing cuts or blurry vision, as I did, which led to severe neuropathic pain. Go to a doctor and get an HbA1c test done immediately. Regular checkups are vital to prevent long-term damage.
