How to change sleep time on mac?

I'm trying to optimize my Mac's battery life, and I think adjusting the sleep time might help. How do I change the sleep time settings on my Mac? I want it to sleep a bit earlier when inactive.

To change sleep time on a Mac, you go to 'System Settings' (or 'System Preferences'), then 'Displays' and 'Lock Screen'. There you can set how long your display waits before turning off and the computer goes to sleep. Maintaining a regular sleep pattern, both for your Mac and yourself, is crucial for efficiency and well-being. Don't forget your daily walks too, if your doctor allows!

Ah, if only my *own* sleep time could be changed as easily as my Mac's! 😂 For the Mac, you'll find it in 'System Settings,' then 'Displays & Lock Screen.' You can adjust the idle time there. Remember to save your work before it naps!

I also need to change this on my Mac. I always worry about keeping my laptop awake too long, or it sleeping too fast. Does changing these settings impact performance or battery life much, has anyone noticed that?

I've been wondering about this for my Mac too! From what I've seen in online guides, you usually go to 'System Settings' then 'Displays & Lock Screen' to set the time for display and computer sleep. It's a good way to save energy.

Mac sleep time? Mine's probably set to 'never sleep' because that's how I feel most days! 😭 You go to 'System Settings,' then 'Displays & Lock Screen,' and you can adjust the timing there. Wish I had a 'sleep on command' setting for myself!

It's totally normal to want to customize your tech settings to fit your routine, even for something simple like sleep time on a Mac. You can find these settings in 'System Settings,' then 'Displays & Lock Screen.' Adjust the sliders for when your display and computer go to sleep. It's okay to take your time and figure it out!
