How to calm tooth pain?

My tooth suddenly started aching badly this afternoon, and it's making it hard to concentrate. I can't get to the dentist until tomorrow. Is there anything I can do at home right now to calm tooth pain, even temporarily?

While you're waiting for a dentist appointment, try using a pain relief app for guided breathing or meditation. It won't fix the tooth, but it can help manage the perception of pain. Also, track what makes the pain worse so you can tell your dentist.

Beta, for tooth pain, my mother always said to put a clove (laung) on the affected tooth. It has a numbing effect. Also, gargling with warm salt water can help reduce swelling. But this is for temporary relief only, you must see a dentist soon, don't delay.

Oh, tooth pain! The only thing worse is stepping on a Lego in the dark. 😂 Seriously though, try not to chew on that side, stick to soft foods, and maybe a painkiller like Paracetamol till you can see a dentist. Don't become a one-sided chewer for life!

Tooth pain is no joke, been there many times! First, rinse your mouth with warm water, gently. You can also try flossing to dislodge any food particles. An ice pack on the outside of your cheek helps with swelling. But seriously, book a dental appointment ASAP, this won't go away on its own.

Hey, don't stress too much, but don't ignore it either! Toothaches are no fun. My friend swears by holding a cold compress on her cheek. And yeah, painkillers for temporary relief. Just call your dentist first thing in the morning, okay? Hugs!

While you're dealing with the pain, light activity can sometimes distract you. If it's not making the pain worse, maybe a gentle walk. But honestly, for a tooth, all that matters is getting it checked by a professional. Exercise won't fix a cavity!

Oh, I totally get it, tooth pain is excruciating! It can drive you absolutely crazy. Don't suffer in silence. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen if you can, and try to avoid hot or cold foods. Just focus on getting to a dentist as soon as possible.

Please be very careful with internet remedies for tooth pain. Some can actually cause more harm. While salt water rinses are generally safe, anything that involves putting strange things on your tooth needs to be avoided. A dentist is the only solution here, not home experiments.
