How to calm stomach ulcer pain?

My father has a stomach ulcer, and sometimes the pain becomes really intense, even with his medication. It affects his sleep and appetite. Are there any specific foods or home remedies that can help calm stomach ulcer pain when it flares up?

Beta, stomach ulcers are very painful. Try some sago (sabudana) kheer or soft rice with curd. And avoid anything spicy or very sour for some days. My nani used to say plain milk can help too, but be careful with that. Best to show a doctor soon.

Ulcer pain needs proper attention. Over-the-counter antacids can provide temporary relief, but it's important to find out the cause. See a doctor for a diagnosis. They might recommend specific medications and dietary changes. Don't ignore it.

For ulcer pain, I always keep antacids at home, like Gelusil or Digene. They give quick relief. Also, try to eat smaller, more frequent meals instead of heavy ones. And avoid coffee or chai for a bit, they make it worse.

If you have diabetes, you have to be extra careful with what you eat for an ulcer. Sugary drinks or fruits can mess with blood sugar. Stick to simple, low-GI foods that are easy on the stomach. And consult your doctor, especially if you're on any medication.

I just recovered from an ulcer, yaar. The pain was awful. My doctor prescribed some proton pump inhibitors, and I had to take them regularly. Also, I ate only bland food like daal-chawal, boiled veggies for weeks. It takes time but you'll feel better.
