When I have a fever, I focus on light, easy-to-digest vegetarian food like khichdi or clear soups. Plenty of fluids, mainly water and fresh fruit juices (without added sugar). Avoid heavy or fried foods completely. This supports your body's healing without burdening it. For meds, follow doctor's advice.
Honestly, don't believe everything you read online about reducing fever with obscure remedies. For fever, especially if it's high, trust proven methods. Take a paracetamol if appropriate, stay hydrated, and rest. If it's not going down, visit a doctor. Simple, no need to complicate.
The most effective and safe way to calm a fever is to consult a doctor. They can diagnose the cause and prescribe appropriate medication like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Alongside, you can use cool compresses and ensure plenty of fluid intake. Self-medication or home remedies alone might not be sufficient for a high or persistent fever.
Rest, fluids, and light clothing. If it's high, consult a doctor.
To calm a fever, focus on symptomatic relief and supporting your body. Drink plenty of fluids like water, ORS, or light broths. Lukewarm sponge baths can help cool down your body. Wear light, breathable clothing and get ample rest. If fever is high or accompanied by other symptoms, please see a doctor immediately.
