How to call out for mental health?

I've been under a lot of pressure at work and feel like I'm on the verge of burning out. How should I communicate to my manager that I need to take time off for my mental health? I'm not sure what to say exactly.

It's increasingly recognized that mental health days are crucial. When calling out, a polite email stating you're taking a sick day due to health reasons is usually sufficient. Specifics are optional. If mental health issues are persistent, professional medical advice should be sought for long-term management.

Dude, just hit up your boss with a simple text or email: 'Hey, not feeling well today, need to take a sick day.' No need for a big explanation. Your well-being comes first. Chill and recharge.

Ho na, mental health is just as important as physical. Just send a message saying 'I'm unwell and taking a sick leave today.' You don't need to give details unless you want to. Take care of yourself.

Haan bhai, mental health leaves are essential. Just write an email or text saying 'I need to take a sick leave today, feeling unwell.' No need to add more details. Work can wait for a day. Take a break na.

I used to feel guilty taking time off for my mental health. But it's totally okay. I found that saying 'I'm not feeling well enough to work today and need to rest' is enough. During the day, do something truly relaxing, like reading a book, listening to music, or maybe a light walk, whatever recharges you best.

My daughter sometimes needs mental health days from her college. She just informs her professor she's unwell. It's important to respect your limits. Take the day, focus on what helps you feel better, even if it's just quiet time. Don't push yourself if you're not feeling up to it.
