How to beat type two diabetes?

My husband has Type 2 diabetes, and we are looking for ways to really get a handle on it. We've tried a few things, but it's still up and down. What has worked for others in effectively beating Type Two Diabetes?

It was a shock when I got diagnosed, and honestly, the emotional side of it is often overlooked. It's hard to accept such a big lifestyle change. Just know it's okay to feel overwhelmed, but consistent effort does pay off eventually.

I believe in healthy eating and regular walking as the first line of defense. Things like fenugreek seeds and bitter gourd juice can help some. But if your sugar levels are really high or you have symptoms like extreme thirst, please go to a doctor, don't just rely on home remedies.

Managing Type 2 effectively requires adherence to medication (if prescribed), a balanced diet with controlled carb intake, and at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days. Also, regular blood glucose monitoring is crucial to understand what works for you.

Just like with thyroid, consistent monitoring and medication are non-negotiable for Type 2 diabetes. Get your HBA1c tested regularly and discuss any changes in your health with your doctor. Don't miss appointments or blood tests.

Yaar, Type 2 diabetes isn't something you 'beat' and forget. It's actually more about managing it for life. My uncle keeps his sugar in check by walking every morning and avoiding all the 'maida' stuff. Consistent effort is key, na?

I ignored my initial symptoms, thinking it was just stress, and I deeply regret it. My advice to anyone is: if you suspect anything, even mild symptoms, get yourself tested immediately. Early diagnosis makes a huge difference in managing Type 2 diabetes and preventing complications.

As someone with PCOS, I know how frustrating hormonal issues and metabolic challenges can be. For type 2 diabetes, definitely listen to your doctor. Focus on sustainable lifestyle changes, and don't expect overnight miracles. Be patient with your body.
