How to beat heat stroke?
The summers here can be really intense, and I'm worried about my elderly parents getting heat stroke. They spend a lot of time outside. What are the most important things to do if someone experiences heat stroke?

Oh, heat stroke is no joke. I had it once and ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration; it took weeks to fully recover. If you suspect anyone has it, especially with confusion or high fever, get them to a doctor or hospital immediately. It can be very dangerous.
I'm not sure, but is it mainly about drinking lots of water and staying in the shade? What else should one do if they feel really dizzy? Hope everyone stays safe in this heat.
For severe heatstroke symptoms, you absolutely must seek medical attention. It's not something to just wait out at home. Always better to be safe and get it checked by a professional, especially for older people or children.
Stay hydrated and avoid direct sun. If symptoms are bad, see a doctor quickly.
At a good hospital, they always tell you to cool down immediately – move to a cooler place, use cool water on skin. If someone's confused or loses consciousness, that's an emergency. Don't delay calling for help or going to the ER.
As someone with diabetes, I have to be extra careful with heat. I drink lots of water, but also need to watch my sugar intake if I'm having juices or ORS. Best to stay indoors during peak heat and wear light clothes.
