How to alleviate wrist pain?

Since last few months, I've been having this dull pain in my wrist, especially after working on the computer. It gets worse by evening. Is there anything simple I can do at home to help with this wrist pain?

I have PCOS and often deal with general joint inflammation, so I try to be very careful with wrist strain from typing. I find that wearing a simple wrist splint at night helps keep the joint aligned and reduces morning stiffness. It's best to take a gentle approach and see a doctor if it doesn't improve.

I was just reading an article about carpal tunnel syndrome because my wrist started hurting after using my new laptop mouse. Apparently, using an ergonomic mouse pad with gel support can make a huge difference in reducing strain. Has anyone here tried that and did it actually help?

Oh, wrist pain is so annoying, especially when you're trying to use your phone or cook! What really helps me is doing very gentle wrist rotation stretches and applying a cooling pain relief gel. Also, try to give your hands a break from screens every hour.

My wrist started hurting so badly from kneading roti dough and lifting heavy kadhais! I had to switch to eating simple boiled rice and light dals for a few days to give my hand a complete break. Trust me, resting the hand is the best excuse to escape kitchen duties for a bit.

Please don't ignore wrist pain or try to forcefully crack the joint. I thought mine was a simple sprain, but it turned out to be a ligament tear that got worse because I kept stretching it, and I eventually needed a cast. Definitely consult an orthopedist if the pain is sharp or if you have swelling.

I totally panicked last month when my wrist suddenly started hurting and I thought I had arthritis at a young age. But the doctor reassured me it was just a minor repetitive strain from heavy typing. A few days of rest and a basic wrist brace cleared it up completely, so don't worry!
