How to alleviate pain?

Been having this nagging pain in my lower back for a few weeks now, especially after sitting for long hours at work. It's really affecting my daily routine, even simple things like playing with my kids. What can I do to get some relief?

You need to specify what kind of pain you are talking about because treating a headache and joint pain are two completely different things. Don't just sit and suffer or Google symptoms. Go to a general physician, get it diagnosed, and fix it directly.

Pain is simply your body's way of signaling that something needs attention. For mild muscle or joint pain, rest and cold compression can help initially, but if it is chronic or sharp, please consult a qualified doctor. Self-managing pain without knowing the root cause can be risky.

I have tried everything from dry ginger pastes to turmeric poultices for my joint aches over the years. For minor aches, a simple warm oil massage and hot water fermentation works beautifully. But if the pain is in the chest or head, please go straight to the hospital.

After turning 50, waking up without some sort of joint pain feels like a miracle! If it is just general muscle stiffness, a good old hot shower and some rest does the job. Otherwise, we just learn to co-exist with these daily squeaks and creaks!
