How to alleviate migraine headaches?

My wife suffers from really bad migraine headaches, sometimes they last for days and nothing seems to help much. She gets very sensitive to light and sound. Are there any effective ways to alleviate migraine pain?

I used to get severe migraine attacks twice a week, but cut down tea/coffee and fixed my sleeping schedule, and it made a huge difference. Putting an ice pack on the back of my neck while keeping my feet in warm water worked surprisingly fast during my last attack.

Oh god, migraines are terrifying, I always worry it might be something worse whenever the throbbing starts. Please keep yourself in a completely dark, quiet room the moment you feel it coming on. I hope you are tracking your triggers because even a tiny smell or sound can set it off.

Migraines are the absolute worst, yaar. Actually, when my head starts throbbing like crazy, I just apply some strong balm and try to sleep it off with the AC on high. Avoid screens completely because that blue light makes it ten times worse.

Haan na, migraine headache truly ruins the entire day. For me, a warm cup of ginger tea without too much sugar helps to calm the nausea that comes with it. Just rest quietly and try not to take too much stress, load kam lo thoda.

Listen, stop self-medicating with random painkillers every time your head hurts, it will ruin your stomach. Go to a neurologist and get a proper prescription drug for migraine prevention. Till then, keep your hydration levels high and don't skip your meals.

I suffered from terrible migraines for thirty years during my working days, but they eventually settled down as I aged and learned to slow down. Eat your meals strictly on time because empty stomach acidity is a major trigger for these headaches. God bless you, this phase will pass.
