How to alleviate kidney pain?

My father has been complaining about a dull pain in his lower back, and the doctor said it might be related to his kidneys. He's quite worried. What can help alleviate kidney pain generally?

At my age, my body has more noises and pains than my old scooter. But kidney pain is no joke, it can really bend you in half. Make sure you are drinking enough water and not just sweet chai all day, and please see a doctor if it doesn't stop.

Since I have high blood pressure, I have to keep a very close eye on my kidney health. Any pain in that region should never be ignored as BP and kidneys are directly connected. Please get a professional checkup and monitor your salt intake and blood pressure.

Are you sure it is kidney pain and not just a muscular lower back spasm? I always get super anxious about organ pain and start Googling everything, which scares me more. Please get a simple urine test and kidney function test done to be absolutely sure and ease your mind.

True kidney pain is usually felt as a deep, dull ache in your sides or upper back, often accompanied by fever or painful urination. Please do not take random pain relievers as some of them can actually strain your kidneys further. Go see a doctor for a proper prescription.

I know how terrifying and painful kidney-related aches can be, it literally leaves you crying and unable to find a comfortable position. The anxiety of what might be wrong makes it even worse. Please don't suffer in silence, go to a clinic and get an ultrasound done.
