How to alleviate hip bursitis pain?

My hip has been really sore lately, and the doctor said it might be bursitis. It's a constant dull ache that sometimes flares into a sharp pain. How can I alleviate hip bursitis pain, especially at night?

Haan, modern lifestyle main ye pain bohot common ho gaya hai today. Bilkul seedhe mat so jao, side me pillow rakh ke soya karo thoda comfort milega. Par thoda aaram se, zyada load mat dena paining area par, thik hai na?

Please do not try random exercises or rubs recommended on YouTube for this. Hip bursitis can easily worsen if you stretch the wrong way or apply excessive pressure. Better to get an X-ray or ultrasound done through a proper orthopedic specialist first.

When I had this, my doctor told me that bursitis is basically inflammation of the small fluid-filled sacs. He strictly advised me to apply ice packs twice a day instead of hot fermentation. He also warned against sitting on low, soft sofas which strain the hip joint.

Bro, my hip was hurting so bad during exams because of sitting on those wooden college chairs for hours. I just started using a small cushion and took small walking breaks every hour. It actually helped reduce that sharp throbbing feeling a lot.

For temporary relief, you can try applying an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory gel gently, without rubbing too hard. Just avoid sleeping directly on that painful side for a few days. If the area feels hot to touch or you get a fever, visit a clinic immediately.

Since I have thyroid issues, joint and muscle pains often flare up out of nowhere. I always make sure to keep my thyroid levels in check alongside any pain treatment. Please get your basic blood panels done and discuss this with your physician regularly.

I totally get it, hip pain makes even basic things like getting out of bed feel like a massive task. It can be so exhausting and frustrating to deal with everyday. Just take it easy, rest as much as you can, and don't push your body too hard.

I tried everything from hot water bags to turmeric milk, but honestly, only resting the joint really worked. What helped me was doing very mild, zero-effort leg slides while lying down to keep it from getting stiff. Go easy on yourself and don't rush the recovery.
