How to alleviate cavity pain?

I have a terrible toothache right now, I think it's a cavity. It's throbbing so much. What can I do to alleviate cavity pain until I can see a dentist?

Please try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water. It is very gentle and can help reduce the throbbing pain until you see a dentist.

I tried everything from garlic to ginger for my toothache, but pressing a tiny cotton ball dabbed in clove oil directly onto the cavity gave me the fastest relief. Just use a single drop because it is very strong.

I thought my entire jaw was decaying when I had a sharp cavity pain last month. But the dentist just cleaned it and put a simple filling in thirty minutes, and the pain completely disappeared.

Tooth pain is literally the worst because it feels like your whole brain is shaking. Please make sure not to chew anything hard or sweet on that side, and see a doctor before it gets infected.

High blood sugar can actually worsen dental infections and cavities. Make sure you brush twice daily and avoid any sugary cough drops or sweet syrups for pain relief, keep it strictly sugar-free.

I ignored a tiny cavity pain last year and ended up needing an expensive root canal treatment because the decay reached the nerve. Please don't delay, just book a dentist appointment right now.
