How to adjust a 2 stroke carburetor?
I'm having trouble with my scooter's engine. It's a 2-stroke and I think the carburetor needs adjustment. Can anyone tell me how to adjust a 2-stroke carburetor correctly?

I once tried tuning it myself and ended up damaging the engine piston due to a lean mixture. I highly recommend taking it to an experienced mechanic instead.
Just like balancing our diet, a machine needs a balanced air-fuel ratio. Start by turning the mixture screw to the default manufacturer setting and adjust from there.
To adjust it, start the engine and let it warm up. Turn the air-fuel screw until you get the highest idle, then adjust the idle speed screw down to a normal level.
I always go to an authorized service center for these things and ask the head technician to explain the tuning. It is better than doing guesswork at home.
My brother does this for his bike. He warms up the engine first, then turns the air screw slowly to find the point where the engine sounds most stable.
