I'm editing a video in DaVinci Resolve and want to add an outline or stroke to some text. How do I add stroke to text in DaVinci Resolve?

I was figuring this out yesterday. In the Inspector panel under Title, just scroll down to the 'Stroke' section and increase the size slider to see the outline.

Yes, this works. Just select the text clip, go to Inspector, and look for Stroke settings.

I used to panic thinking I needed a fusion node just for a simple stroke. It's actually very normal, you can just do it from the edit page inspector settings directly.

Does anyone else find the DaVinci Resolve text tool a bit laggy sometimes? I get worried that my system is crashing whenever I try to add a stroke to heavy titles.

If you are on a tight deadline, use the Text+ tool instead of basic Text. It gives you much better control over shading, strokes, and gradients in the Inspector tab.
