How skyrizi and humira work differently for psoriasis?

My dermatologist has suggested both Skyrizi and Humira for my psoriasis, and I'm trying to decide. I want to understand how Skyrizi and Humira work differently for psoriasis before I make a choice.

I ignored my initial psoriasis patches thinking it was just dry skin, and it spread everywhere. These two are advanced biologic drugs that target different proteins in your immune system, but you must consult a dermatologist immediately to get the right one rather than waiting like I did.

My son had severe flare-ups, and the doctor explained that Humira has been around longer but Skyrizi is more specific with fewer side effects. Please talk to a pediatric dermatologist if this is for a youngster, and keep their skin well-moisturized daily.

Humira targets TNF-alpha while Skyrizi targets IL-23, making them work on different paths of the immune system. I hope you find the one that suits your body best.

While these advanced therapies work internally on different proteins to reduce inflammation, practicing daily pranayama can also help keep stress down. Since stress triggers psoriasis flare-ups, a calm mind works beautifully alongside your medical treatment.

At this age, my body has more drug names in it than blood! Basically, Humira is an older, broader drug that you inject more often, while Skyrizi is newer, more targeted, and requires fewer doses. Let your doctor choose which one your wallet and body can handle.

Look, both are highly effective biologic treatments, but they can be extremely expensive in India. Sit with your dermatologist and look at the cost per dose, insurance coverage, and generic biosimilar options before making a final decision.
