How should a tb skin test look?
I recently got a TB skin test done for my job application. I checked it after 48 hours but I'm not sure if it looks normal. How should a TB skin test look if it's positive or negative?

I had a TB skin test done last year. In my case, it just looked like a small red bump that was a bit itchy, but the lab technician told me only a doctor can measure the exact swelling size to confirm if it is positive.
My grandmother told me to put some coconut oil if it itchy, but I did not touch it because the clinic told me not to. It is best to let the nurse look at the swelling after 48 to 72 hours and decide. Trust the doctor's measurement completely.
Actually yaar, don't try to judge it yourself by looking at Google images. It might look like a normal mosquito bite or a big red patch, but only the doc can measure that bump properly. Just go back to the clinic after 2 days.
A TB skin test, or Mantoux test, typically shows a hard, raised red area if positive, but redness alone doesn't mean much. The exact diameter of the induration needs to be measured in millimeters by a professional. Please visit your clinic on the scheduled day for an accurate reading.

Don't post photos online asking people if your test is positive or negative. A TB skin test measurement depends on your medical history and the exact hardness of the bump, not just how red it looks. Go to a certified clinic to get it read.
