It is a moderate to severe drop in kidney function, but it is manageable. Take a deep breath, follow the doctor's plan, and take care of your health daily.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney issue almost ten years ago. It sounded scary back then, but with proper care, I am still living a very active life. Don't panic, just listen to your doctors and make the necessary changes.

Since it is stage 3, you have to monitor your blood pressure very closely, as high BP destroys kidney filters. Cut down on salt, walk daily, and get your serum creatinine and eGFR checked exactly when your doctor asks.

Stage 3 kidney disease is serious, and please don't start drinking random herbal juices or powders you see on YouTube. They can overload your kidneys and make it stage 4. Only trust a qualified nephrologist for your treatment.

High sugar levels damage the kidneys, so if you have diabetes, managing it is your top priority now. Be very strict with your food, avoid sweets, and keep your HbA1c under control to stop the kidney damage from progressing further.
