How serious is kidney disease?

My mother-in-law has been having some health issues recently, and the doctor mentioned something about early-stage kidney disease. It sounds scary. How serious is kidney disease, even in its earlier stages?

Kidney issues can become serious if ignored. The most practical thing is to control your blood pressure and get a simple urine routine test done every six months. It doesn't cost much and keeps you safe.

While drinking enough water and eating less processed food helps the kidneys, medical issues need a proper doctor. If you have swelling in your feet or changes in urine, go to a nephrologist immediately instead of trying home remedies.

As a long-term diabetic, I know that high sugar levels can damage kidneys over time. You must keep your HbA1c in check and limit high-sodium foods to protect your kidney health. Regular doctor visits are a must.

My doctor explained that kidney disease is measured in stages based on the eGFR rate. If it's caught in stage 1 or 2, lifestyle changes and blood pressure control can halt the progression completely. Make sure to get a proper staging done.

If you have kidney concerns, book an online consultation with a nephrologist during your lunch break. Don't waste time scrolling through forums, a 10-minute doctor chat with your blood reports will save you a lot of hassle.

Bro, kidney issues are definitely no joke. My granddad has to go for regular checkups for this. Just don't ignore it and get a doc to look at it ASAP.
