How serious is cancer in the kidney?

My uncle just got news that there's some growth in his kidney, and they're doing more tests for cancer. My family is very worried. How serious is cancer in the kidney generally?

It is quite serious but getting it caught early is key. Focus on setting up a clean routine for the patient and get a reliable family member to manage all the hospital paperwork. Don't waste time on complex diet plans right now, just stick to what the main oncologist advises.

It is a serious diagnosis, so please plan your finances immediately. Get a second opinion from a government medical college hospital if private labs are too expensive. Also, check your health insurance policy details first thing tomorrow to see what tests and scans are covered under day-care.

Please do not search for herbal cures or desi remedies online for something as major as kidney cancer. People will suggest weird juices but it can harm the kidneys further. Go straight to a proper oncologist and trust only their treatment plan.

Any major organ issue requires strict monitoring. I have thyroid issues and know how quickly things change if you skip tests. For kidney issues, you must do all your blood tests and follow-ups on the exact date the doctor gives you.

I can only share what happened in my family. When my cousin was diagnosed, we were all devastated, but the doctors handled it with surgery very smoothly. We left all medical decisions strictly to the hospital team and kept the home atmosphere peaceful.

Actually it is pretty heavy news, yaar. You can't take this lightly at all. Just get them to a solid specialist in Pune or Mumbai immediately and don't panic, modern medicine has got great solutions these days.

My uncle had this three years ago and had one kidney removed. It sounds terrifying but people live perfectly normal lives with one functioning kidney. Just find a top-tier urologist and stay strong, the surgical options are very advanced now.
