How pcos occurs?

A few of my friends have recently been diagnosed with PCOS, and I'm trying to understand more about it. I know it affects hormones, but I'm not clear on how it actually starts or develops. How does PCOS occur in the body?

Actually, PCOS is a complex hormonal issue and the exact cause isn't fully clear even to experts. I went to a top endocrinologist at Apollo and they explained how insulin resistance and genetics play a big role. It is best to ask a specialist to explain your specific blood work.

I have been dealing with PCOS for five years now, and it mostly triggers due to insulin issues and chronic inflammation. Every body is totally different, so what worked for my symptoms might not work for you. Just take it slow and work with a good gynecologist.

Honestly, our messed up sleep schedules and late-night maggi sessions don't help either! It is basically a hormonal imbalance where your ovaries produce more male hormones than usual. Half my hostel has it, it's super common but totally manageable.

PCOS can happen due to lifestyle changes, stress, or genetic reasons, but you cannot know for sure without proper tests. Please don't start any self-treatment or random diets you see online. Get an ultrasound and a proper hormone panel done first to be absolutely safe.

It is mainly caused by hormonal imbalances and insulin resistance, but diagnosing it needs a blood test and scan. I suggest checking different labs because packages for thyroid, sugar, and PCOS hormones can vary a lot in cost. Plan your budget for these tests first before visiting the doctor.
