How often tb vaccine?

My youngest child is due for some vaccinations soon, and my wife was asking about the TB vaccine. I know we got one for our older son when he was little. How often is the TB vaccine typically given, and are there different schedules for it?

The TB vaccine (BCG) is generally given once in childhood in India, sometimes as part of routine immunization. It's not something adults usually get repeatedly, unlike some other vaccines. As someone managing diabetes, I'm very careful about taking any medication or vaccine; always consult your doctor for your specific needs.

Hey! So the BCG vaccine for TB is typically given to infants and sometimes young children in India. It's usually a one-time shot, not something you regularly track like a fitness goal. For adults, it's generally not repeated. If you're concerned, check with your family doctor; they can clarify based on your vaccination history.

My doctor explained that the BCG vaccine for TB is primarily given to babies and young children in countries like India where TB is common. It usually provides protection for several years, but its efficacy varies, and it's generally not given to adults repeatedly. There aren't routine adult booster shots like for tetanus. Always best to discuss with your GP.

The BCG vaccine for TB is a single dose given early in life in many countries, including India. Its role in adult TB prevention is limited, and repeat vaccinations are not typically recommended for adults. If you have any specific concerns about TB or vaccination status, consulting a medical professional is the most prudent approach.

I had a TB scare in my family recently, so we all got tested. The doc said the BCG vaccine is mostly for kids and isn't usually repeated for adults. What's more important for adults, if exposed, is getting timely testing and medication. So, no need to get the vaccine again if you already had it as a child, unless a doctor specifically tells you otherwise.

Vaccinations are serious business, especially for something like TB. The BCG vaccine is usually administered once in early life. For adults, it's not routinely given. If you're concerned about TB exposure or protection, please go see a doctor immediately. Don't rely on general information for this.
