How often should a 7 month old sleep?

Our baby is 7 months old, and he's crawling everywhere, so he's quite tired by bedtime. But sometimes he still wakes up in the night. What's the typical sleep frequency for a 7-month-old?

Oh, I'm constantly worried about this too! My 7-month-old sometimes sleeps 10 hours and sometimes only 8 at night, plus two naps. Is that normal? Do other parents also feel like their babies have such fluctuating sleep? It makes me so anxious!

While I manage diabetes and focus on my own timings, I know that for a 7-month-old, consistent routines are very important, just like managing meal times. They typically need about 12-15 hours of sleep daily, including naps. Ensuring good sleep supports their overall health and growth. Consult your child's doctor for exact guidance.

A 7-month-old? Oh, they should sleep as much as they possibly can, so their parents can also get some! 😂 Seriously though, I remember it was a lot, maybe 14 hours total, with a couple of naps. If only we adults could still get that much rest, haha.

Having PCOS, I've learned that individual body rhythms are key, and it's similar for babies. A 7-month-old generally needs a good amount of sleep, roughly 12-15 hours, with 2-3 naps. But this is just a general guide. Don't be too hard on yourself if your baby's sleep varies; just try to create a calming sleep environment. If you have serious concerns, speak to your pediatrician, they're the experts.

My 7-month-old generally sleeps for about 11 hours at night, usually with one quick feed, and then two naps of around 1.5-2 hours each during the day. We follow a consistent bedtime routine like a warm bath, story, and then bed. It really helps them wind down. If your baby seems fussy or overtired, maybe they need more sleep.

Beta, when my children were 7 months, they slept quite a lot, sometimes 10-12 hours at night and 2-3 short naps in the day. Every child has their own way. As long as your child is happy, eating well, and growing, don't worry too much. The doctors these days can guide you very well if you are unsure.

Hey, it's completely normal to think about this. Generally, a 7-month-old needs about 12-15 hours of sleep over 24 hours, including their naps. Just make sure the environment is conducive to sleep – quiet, dark, and cool. And always trust your instincts about your baby; if something feels off, please check with your pediatrician, okay?
