A 2-month-old needs about 14-17 hours of sleep in 24 hours, broken into short stretches.
Babies need a lot of sleep for their growth, which is free and essential! A 2-month-old will sleep many hours, but in short cycles, waking for feeds. Don't worry about buying expensive sleep aids, just ensure a safe and quiet place. If you're concerned about their development, a pediatrician's visit is a good investment.
Based on my experience with my kids, a 2-month-old baby still sleeps a lot, but they start having slightly longer awake times. It's still fragmented sleep, though, with feeds every few hours. Don't expect them to sleep through the night just yet.
Oh, the sleep question! I'd be constantly worrying if my baby was sleeping enough or too much. A 2-month-old should sleep around 14-17 hours, right? But is it okay if some days they sleep a bit less, or more? Did anyone else feel this anxious about their baby's sleep?

Just like an adult needs good sleep for recovery after a workout, a 2-month-old needs plenty of sleep for their rapid development. They typically sleep 14-17 hours in a 24-hour cycle, but it's still broken into several short naps. Ensure they are well-fed and comfortable. If there are any concerns, consult their doctor.
