How often do you need a typhoid shot?

My daughter is going on a school trip to a place where typhoid is a concern. The school is asking for a typhoid shot, but I'm not sure if she's had one recently. How often is a typhoid shot needed for children or even adults?

It's totally normal to ask about vaccine schedules, especially with typhoid being so common. I used to get so anxious about keeping track of all my shots. But for typhoid, it's typically every 2-3 years, depending on the vaccine type. Don't let the thought overwhelm you; just make a calendar reminder for the booster, and you'll be good.

Managing PCOS has taught me to be very careful with health. For a typhoid shot, it's not a one-time thing. You generally need a booster every 2-3 years, depending on whether you got the injectable or oral vaccine. It's important to keep track of your vaccination date and get the booster when due, especially in India where typhoid is prevalent. Don't be overconfident, stay protected.

Hello! 🤩 Typhoid shot needs a booster every 2 or 3 years, depending on the brand and type of vaccine. So it's not forever, but it's not super frequent either! Just set a reminder for yourself. Gotta protect ourselves, especially when indulging in all the yummy food outside! 😋

As someone who has to manage thyroid with regular tests, I know the importance of timely vaccinations. For the typhoid shot, it's usually recommended every 2-3 years to maintain immunity. It's not a one-and-done vaccine. Always keep your vaccination card handy and discuss with your doctor during your regular follow-ups to ensure you're always protected.

Given my busy schedule, I try to be proactive with vaccinations. For typhoid, it's a booster every 2-3 years, depending on the vaccine you got. Just mark it in your calendar or set a reminder. It's a quick shot that gives good protection, so it's a realistic and important health step to manage effectively.
