How often do you need a tb skin test?

I'm a healthcare student and I need to get a TB skin test. I got one last year for my internship. Do I need to get it again so soon? How often is a TB skin test typically required?

Listen, I once ignored a cough for too long, thinking it was just a cold. Later had to get checked. For a TB skin test (Mantoux), it's not something you need yearly like a general checkup. It's typically done if you've been exposed to someone with TB, or for certain jobs (like healthcare), or if you have specific symptoms. If you're wondering, please just get it checked by a doctor, don't ignore it.

Beti, for the TB skin test, it is not like a common fever where you take simple medicines. This is for something serious. You should not get it done too often without a reason. Only if your doctor advises it, or for things like school admissions, or if someone around you has TB. For strong health, eat good food and stay clean, but for tests, trust the doctor.

Practically speaking, a TB skin test (Mantoux test) is not a routine annual check-up for everyone. You usually need it if there's a specific requirement, like for visa applications, certain jobs (especially in healthcare or education), or if a doctor suspects exposure or symptoms. So, no need to rush for it unless there's a concrete reason from a professional.

Namaste. Health is a blessing, and we must care for it. For a TB skin test, it is done when there is a specific need or doubt. It is not like a routine spiritual practice. If you have been exposed or feel unwell, listen to your inner guidance and consult a doctor. Stay positive and trust the process.

A TB skin test? My arm gets pricked enough just for blood sugar checks! 😂 But seriously, it's not an annual thing for most. You usually get it if you've had a close encounter with TB, or if your job demands it. So, unless you're planning a trip to a really dusty, crowded place or becoming a doctor, your arm is safe! Don't stress.

TB skin test, haan na? It's not something you do very often. My nephew needed it for his hostel admission. Otherwise, if you are not exposed to anyone with TB or feeling any symptoms, why would you need it? Doctors only recommend it if there is a reason. So, don't worry unnecessarily.
