How often do u need a tb test?

I'm applying for a new job and they're asking for a recent TB test. I got one a few years ago for college, so I'm wondering how frequently these tests are generally needed. Is it a yearly thing, or only for specific situations?

My doctor explained that the frequency of TB tests depends a lot on your risk factors. If you're a healthcare worker, travel to high-risk areas, or have close contact with someone with active TB, you might need it annually or even more often. For the general public with no specific risks, it's usually not a routine annual test unless there are symptoms or new exposure. Always best to consult your GP.

Bhai, it depends na. If you're working in a hospital or something, maybe yearly. Otherwise, if you have no symptoms or no contact with a TB patient, why would you need it often? Don't overthink. If you feel unwell, then go to the doctor, they will tell you.

For general health, focus on good nutrition with lots of fresh veggies and fruits to boost immunity; that helps a lot in preventing many illnesses. Regarding TB tests, I don't think it's a routine thing unless there's a specific reason, like if you've been exposed or have symptoms. My doctor usually suggests it only if needed, not just randomly every year.

Honestly, unless my work demands it or I'm feeling sick, I don't go for a TB test every year. It's not like a blood pressure checkup. My family doctor usually advises it only if someone in the family has symptoms or if we have visited a very crowded, unhygienic place for long. Common sense and hygiene are important.

Achcha, TB test? Mereko toh pehle pata chale ki main TB patient ke paas thi ya nahi! Ha ha. In all seriousness, I only get it done if my family doctor specifically tells me to. I have enough tests to keep track of with my age. Unless there's a reason, it's not a regular thing for most of us, I think.
