How much to donate to colleague with terminal cancer?

A colleague of mine is unfortunately battling terminal cancer, and our office is planning a collection to help out. I want to contribute, but I'm unsure what would be an appropriate amount. How much is generally suitable to donate to a colleague with terminal cancer in such situations?

This is a truly difficult situation. In such times, apart from monetary help, maybe offering to help with daily chores or just being there for them can also be a big support. Sometimes presence and positive energy mean more.

Terminal cancer? Oh man, that's heavy. Honestly, donate what you can without having to eat instant noodles for a month yourself! Every little bit helps, even if it's just enough for a good cup of chai and some comfort food. No need to go broke trying to be a superhero.

This is a tough one. Usually, for such cases, we do a collection at the office. Everyone puts in what they comfortably can, maybe 500 or 1000 rupees. That way, the burden is shared and the total amount becomes substantial. It's practical and everyone feels involved.

Ayyo, that's very sad to hear. My mother always says to help others as much as you can from your heart, without expecting anything back. Donate what feels right for you and your family's budget. Sometimes even a little bit pooled together makes a big difference for medical expenses.

Terminal cancer? My brain just went 'error 404'. Honestly, after paying rent, my donation budget is usually like, Rs. 100 and a prayer. But seriously, give what you can afford without losing sleep over it. Every rupee counts for real.

Oh, this breaks my heart. We faced something similar with a family friend. It's not just about the money for treatment, but also daily expenses, special diet, travel for appointments. I'd say give whatever you can, even a small amount. If others also contribute, it adds up. Empathy is most important.

Uff, terminal cancer. Bhagwan, take care of everyone. As for donation, I always say, 'jitni chaadar utni pair failaao'. Give what you can without affecting your own finances too much. Even small amounts from many people make a mountain, you know? My back hurts just thinking about it, but that's a different story.

Yaar, that's really sad to hear. Honestly, in these situations, no amount is 'enough' because treatment is so expensive. Just give whatever you feel comfortable with, don't overthink it. Even a small contribution from everyone can help them out with their medical bills, actually.

This sounds really difficult. I'm so sorry for your colleague. I'm new to this kind of situation... is it better to donate directly to them or through some official company fund? And how much is usually considered 'okay' to give?

Hey, that's truly unfortunate news. Look, there's no fixed amount. What's important is that you contribute from your heart, what you genuinely feel comfortable giving. Even a small gesture of support can mean a lot to someone going through such a tough time. Don't stress too much about the 'how much'.
