How much sugar in a banana diabetes?

My doctor told me that fruits also have sugar, and I should be mindful. I love bananas. How much sugar is actually in one banana, and is it too much for a diabetic like me?

Bananas do have natural sugars, and for diabetics, it's about portion control. A small, slightly unripe banana might be okay sometimes. Always keep a glucometer at home; testing your sugar after eating different foods helps you understand your body's response, and it's a worthwhile investment. Plan your fruit intake smartly.

Hey, it's good you're thinking about this! Bananas do have natural sugar, and for diabetics, it's all about moderation and ripeness. A small, slightly green banana is generally better than a very ripe one. But seriously, check with your doctor or a dietician. They'll give you a clearer picture based on your specific sugar levels. You'll figure it out!

My doctor explained that a medium banana contains about 14-15 grams of sugar, mostly natural fruit sugars (fructose). While it also has fiber, which slows sugar absorption, diabetics should consume bananas in moderation, preferably slightly unripe ones, and consider their overall carb intake for the day. It's best to monitor blood sugar after consuming it to see individual response.

Yaar, bananas actually have a decent amount of natural sugar, like fructose. For a diabetic, it's not about totally avoiding them, but knowing your limits. A small, slightly unripe banana might be okay sometimes, but a super ripe, big one? Thoda avoid karna chahiye. Your doctor will tell you exactly, boss.

This kind of question is exactly what used to give me so much anxiety about my diet! Bananas have natural sugars, yes, and for a diabetic, it means eating them carefully. It's not a complete 'no-no' but definitely in moderation, maybe a small one and not too ripe. Please talk to your doctor or a dietician, they can ease your worries with a proper plan.

Bananas and diabetes, the classic debate! My doctor says 'it's not the banana, it's how much and how ripe, Girish!' A medium banana has a fair bit of natural sugar, yaar. So, for diabetics, it's like a 'sometimes' food, and a smaller, less ripe one is better. It's always a calculation, no rest for the sugar-conscious!
