How much sugar can a diabetic have?

My husband was recently diagnosed with diabetes. We are trying to understand his diet better, especially about sugar. Can you tell me exactly how much sugar a diabetic can have without it being a problem?

As a vegetarian, I focus on whole foods and natural sources. For diabetics, processed sugar should be completely avoided. Natural sugars from fruits should also be consumed in very limited, measured portions, as advised by a doctor. Focus on vegetables, whole grains, and protein. Every meal matters.

For something as critical as diabetes, please do not rely on general advice here. You absolutely must consult your endocrinologist or a certified dietician. They will give you precise guidelines based on your specific health condition and blood sugar levels. It's truly not worth taking a risk.

Hello! For diabetics, the goal is to keep added sugars almost non-existent. Even natural sugars from fruits need to be consumed in moderation and as part of your overall carbohydrate count for the day. It's really best to sit down with a nutritionist or your doctor for a personalized meal plan. They can help you understand your limits specifically.

I had high blood sugar a few months back and my doc was super strict: no added sugar at all. Only very specific fruits in small portions, and totally cut out sugary drinks. It was hard initially but my levels came down significantly. So, if you're diabetic, it's practically zero added sugar, man.

Hey, don't stress too much, but for sugar and diabetes, it's pretty much a 'no-go' zone for added sugars, ya know? For natural sugars from fruits, it's all about portion control. Your doctor or a dietician is your best friend here, seriously. Get a personalized plan and stick to it!
