How much sleep for muscle growth?

I've started hitting the gym regularly and my trainer keeps emphasizing the importance of recovery and sleep for building muscle. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. How much sleep is ideal for muscle growth?

Honestly, I overthink this a lot too! For muscle growth, proper recovery is key, and sleep is a huge part of that. If you're not getting enough deep sleep, your body might not be able to repair those muscle tears effectively. Don't compromise on your rest!

Muscle growth also depends on your overall hormonal balance, which sleep affects a lot. I have thyroid issues, and my doc always stresses the importance of good sleep for overall well-being. If you're consistently not seeing results despite working out, maybe get a checkup. Regular tests are important.

Yeah, I was just reading about this! Apparently, during deep sleep, your body releases growth hormones which are super important for muscle repair and building. So, skipping sleep is like skipping a part of your workout recovery, na? Aim for quality sleep.

Haan na, sleep is so important for everything, especially when you're trying to build muscle. Mera bhai gym jata hai, aur woh bolta hai 7-8 ghante ki neend toh pakka chahiye. Warna body recover nahi hoti acche se. Thoda jaldi so jao.

Practically speaking, aim for at least 7-8 hours. It's not just about the number but also the quality. Try to sleep and wake up around the same time daily, even on weekends. And keep your phone away from the bed for better sleep, it really helps with muscle recovery.

Muscle growth? Beta, pehle toh neend aa jaye wohi badi baat hai! But seriously, if you're hitting the gym, sleep is non-negotiable. My son lifts weights and he snores like a bear after a good workout and 8 hours sleep. Must be working for him!
