How much sleep does an 8 year old need?

My daughter is 8 years old and she's been a bit moody lately, sometimes struggling to concentrate in her online classes. My wife thinks it's because she's not sleeping enough. What's the recommended amount of sleep for an 8-year-old?

Haan, 8 saal ke bacche ko acchi neend chahiye hoti hai. Generally, 9 se 12 ghante ka sleep recommended hai. School se aate hain, khelte hain, toh body ko rest bhi chahiye na! Regular bedtime bahut zaroori hai.

For an 8-year-old, around 9-12 hours of sleep is crucial for their growth and development. It's just like how important regular meals and avoiding excess sugar are for us adults, especially if managing something like diabetes. Good sleep helps regulate hormones and energy. So, no late-night sweets for them!

My granddaughter is 8, and she needs a good 10-11 hours. What works best is a strict bedtime routine. No screens an hour before bed, a warm glass of milk, and reading a story. Consistency is key for kids this age; it helps them sleep better and wake up fresh for school.

For an 8-year-old, 9-12 hours of peaceful sleep is very beneficial. A quiet mind and body before sleep ensure deeper rest. Maybe some gentle stretching or deep breathing exercises before bed can help them calm down and drift off to sleep more easily. A relaxed child sleeps well.

My son is 8, and we recently had some sleep issues. His doctor told us 9-12 hours is the standard for kids his age. We focused on a strict bedtime and no gadgets after 8 PM. It made a huge difference! He's much happier and energetic now.
