How much sleep does a pregnant lady need?

I'm in my second trimester and finding it hard to get comfortable at night, so I'm not sleeping much. My mother-in-law says pregnant ladies need extra rest. How much sleep does a pregnant lady typically need?

Pregnant ladies need good rest, maybe even more than usual. But please, don't rely on random internet advice for something so important. Talk to her doctor or gynecologist. They'll give the correct guidance, not some 'home remedy' that might not be safe.

During pregnancy, rest is non-negotiable. If a pregnant lady is feeling overly tired even after what seems like enough sleep, or has other symptoms, she MUST talk to her doctor. I once ignored some signals and regretted it later. Better safe than sorry, always.

From a practical standpoint, pregnant women definitely need more sleep, often 8-10 hours, and listen to their body for naps. Their body is undergoing huge changes. Encourage side sleeping with pillows for comfort, and try to manage heartburn or frequent urination that might disturb sleep. Hydration is key too.

I was actually researching this recently for a friend! They say pregnant women usually need more sleep than before, often around 8 to 10 hours a day, including naps if needed. Their bodies are working overtime, so extra rest is super important.

My sister-in-law is pregnant and she sleeps SO much! I think they need more than the usual 7-8 hours, maybe 9-10? Her doctor told her to listen to her body and rest whenever she feels like it. Pregnancy is tiring!

A pregnant lady's body is creating a new life, so it needs extra rest. Around 8-10 hours is good. Gentle breathing exercises like Nadi Shodhana can help calm the mind and improve sleep quality too. Just find a comfortable position and let the body rest.

For pregnant women, generally 8-10 hours is recommended, and naps can be helpful too. Good sleep helps with energy levels. If her doctor clears it, some light walking can also improve sleep quality, but always prioritize rest and comfort.
