How much sleep does a 16 month old need?

My baby is 16 months old and has recently started resisting naps, making bedtime difficult. I'm worried she's not getting adequate rest. What is the typical amount of sleep a 16-month-old needs each day?

For a 16-month-old little one, about 11 to 14 hours of sleep, including their daytime naps, is usually what is needed. My mother always said to keep a good routine. But if there are any real worries, please check with your doctor, they will give the best advice.

A 16-month-old cutie needs a good 11-14 hours of sleep total, including those sweet naps! 😴 It helps them grow big and strong! Make sure their room is cozy and quiet. ✨

For a 16-month-old, the general range is 11-14 hours of sleep over 24 hours, including naps. However, every child is different. If you have any significant concerns about their sleep patterns or how much they are getting, it's always safest to get it checked by a pediatrician.

Oh, a 16-month-old? Probably 11-14 hours, the lucky little things. Wish I could get that much! They sleep like logs, then wake up and have all the energy in the world. Enjoy it while it lasts, because once they're teens, sleep becomes a mythical creature, haha.

My daughter is just past 16 months, and we found she sleeps best with 13 hours total, including her one long afternoon nap. We established a firm bedtime routine and made sure her room was completely dark and quiet. It took a few weeks but made a world of difference for us.
