How much salt can cause a heart attack?

I've been hearing a lot about reducing salt intake for heart health, and now I'm a bit scared. Someone at a family function mentioned that too much salt can even cause a heart attack immediately. Is that true? Like, how much exactly is 'too much'?

Actually yaar, there is no single spoon of salt that will instantly give you a heart attack. But eating too much salt daily over many years raises your blood pressure, which eventually damages your heart. Better to keep it under one teaspoon a day.

Chronic high salt intake leads to severe hypertension, which is a major trigger for cardiovascular disease. If you also have thyroid issues like me, water retention makes it worse. Regular BP monitoring and doctor checkups are highly recommended.

Excessive salt doesn't cause an immediate attack, but it quietly hardens your arteries over time. We should keep our daily salt under 5 grams. Please avoid processed foods, pickles, and salty snacks, as they are hidden dangers for heart health.

Haan, eating heavy salt daily is like calling for heart trouble na. Our standard Indian food already has so much salt, and then we eat extra papad and pickle. Try to reduce it slowly and get your heart and BP checked regularly.

My father had a mild stroke due to uncontrolled high blood pressure from his love for salty pickles. The doctors warned us that keeping salt high is very dangerous for the heart. We strictly limit salt in our home cooking now to protect the whole family.

Our village doctor tells us that eating too much salt makes the blood thick and heavy, which hurts the heart. We should only eat a small pinch of salt in our meals and avoid eating salty snacks from the market to stay healthy.
