How much phosphorus per day for stage 3 kidney disease?

I have stage 3 kidney disease and I'm very careful about my diet now. My doctor mentioned monitoring phosphorus, but I forgot the exact amount. How much phosphorus per day can I have safely with stage 3 kidney disease?

Honestly, trying to count phosphorus milligrams when I can barely keep my eyes open is too much math. My understanding is it is usually around 800-1000 mg for stage 3, but seriously, ask a doctor instead of trusting my sleep-deprived brain.

Bhai, humare yahan toh doctor sahab ne kaha ki dudh, dahi aur bahar ka dibba band khana bilkul kam kar do. Aap kripya kisi acche doctor se milkar pooch lijiye, kidney ka mamla hai toh laparwahi bilkul nahi karni chahiye.

My father is on a renal diet for stage 3, and his doctor capped his phosphorus at 800mg a day. We had to cut down on dairy and switch to white rice instead of brown. Definitely get a doctor's chart though, because everyone's blood levels are different.

Do not rely on online forums for managing stage 3 kidney disease. The daily limit for phosphorus depends on your specific blood filtration rate and parathyroid hormone levels. Only your nephrologist can tell you the exact safe limit after looking at your reports.

I get so scared reading about stage 3 kidney disease and phosphorus numbers, it makes me overthink every single meal. Is the limit strictly 800 mg or can it go up to 1000 mg? Please consult your nephrologist to get a exact plan, it is much safer than guessing.
