How much period pain is normal?

Since I started my periods, the first two days are always very painful, like I can barely move. My friends say it's normal but sometimes I feel it's too much. I wanted to know how much period pain is considered normal, yaani, what's the limit before I should worry?

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my cramps have been getting worse. Some mild aching in the lower belly or back is normal, but if it stops you from doing normal daily tasks, then it is definitely something to get checked by a doctor.

Mild discomfort for the first two days is normal, but if you are missing office or unable to work because of the pain, that is not normal. Don't just suffer through it or keep taking painkillers. Book an appointment with a gynecologist to rule out things like cysts or PCOS.

Beta, a little pain in the first day is common, but it should not be unbearable. Try drinking warm milk with a pinch of turmeric, or carom seeds (ajwain) tea to soothe the uterus. If the pain is very severe and does not go away with warm compresses, please consult a lady doctor.

Honestly, a little dull ache is normal and that's usually my excuse to eat dark chocolate and order hot soup. But if the pain is so bad that I can't even enjoy my favorite food or feel like throwing up, then it's definitely time to visit the doctor.

Listen, having some mild cramps is okay, but you shouldn't be crying in pain or fainting. If the pain is making you miserable every month, please don't just tolerate it. Let's get you checked by a good gynecologist to make sure you are safe.
