How much of your sleep should be deep sleep?

I often feel tired even after getting enough hours of sleep. My smart band tells me about deep sleep, so I'm wondering if I'm getting enough of it. How much of your sleep should ideally be deep sleep for good rest?

Ideally, 15% to 25% of your total sleep should be deep sleep, which is about 1 to 2 hours if you sleep for 7-8 hours. If you are busy, just focus on keeping a consistent sleep schedule to maximize this quality time.

Oh, I keep checking my tracker and getting so anxious when my deep sleep is below 20%! But please don't stress, sometimes the band doesn't track it right. Just try to relax your mind before bed.

A healthy adult should get around 20% deep sleep each night. However, tracker data can be highly inaccurate, so if you are experiencing chronic daytime fatigue, it is best to consult a doctor for a proper sleep study.

Honestly, with late-night study sessions, my deep sleep is probably nonexistent! But my fitness band says we need at least 1 to 1.5 hours of deep sleep to feel rested.

I read that 15-25% of our sleep cycle should be deep sleep to help our body heal. If you are feeling tired even after 8 hours, try keeping your room quiet and avoiding heavy dinners.

I used to panic seeing only 45 minutes of deep sleep on my tracker, thinking I had a health issue. Later, my physician reassured me that deep sleep varies daily and 1 to 1.5 hours is completely normal and healthy.

Aim for about 20% deep sleep. I improved mine from 40 minutes to nearly 1.5 hours by stopping screen time at 9 PM and keeping my room pitch black and cool. Simple changes work wonders.

Around 1 to 2 hours is good deep sleep. Don't waste money on fancy sleep trackers; just switch off the TV early and drink a warm cup of milk before sleeping. You will automatically sleep deeply.
