How much magnesium glycinate for sleep?

I've been struggling with insomnia lately, and a friend suggested magnesium glycinate. Could someone tell me how much magnesium glycinate is usually taken for sleep?

I used to take magnesium glycinate on my own, thinking it would fix my terrible sleep. I kept increasing the dose, ignoring what was actually a severe thyroid issue until it got really bad. Please, get a full blood checkup done first instead of just self-treating.

Hey dear, don't stress too much about getting the perfect dosage! Usually, around 200mg of magnesium glycinate before bed works great for calming the nerves. Try it for a week with some relaxing music and see how you feel.

I've been using magnesium glycinate for sleep for over a year now. A dose of 250mg of elemental magnesium is the sweet spot; anything more might cause mild stomach irritation. Take it exactly 45 minutes before you want to sleep for best results.

For muscle recovery and sleep, 200mg to 300mg of magnesium glycinate in the evening works perfectly. Make sure your overall diet also has leafy greens and nuts, and keep a consistent sleep schedule to get the maximum benefit.

My physician advised that while magnesium glycinate is highly bioavailable, one should not exceed 350mg of elemental magnesium from supplements daily. Excess intake can lead to electrolyte imbalances. It's best to start at 150mg and evaluate your sleep quality.

I have found that a low dose of 200mg of magnesium glycinate, along with 15 minutes of slow Chandra Bhedana pranayama, gently prepares the body for deep rest. Natural methods combined with minimal supplementation are always safest for the soul.

With PCOS, sleep and anxiety are daily battles, and magnesium glycinate is highly recommended for us. I take 200mg daily, but please check with your gynecologist first because some brands add fillers that might not suit your hormone levels.
