How much daytime sleep for 3 month old?

We have a 3-month-old baby, and we're trying to set up a proper sleep routine. He takes quite a few naps. What's the recommended amount of daytime sleep for a baby of this age?

Haan, 3 mahine ke bacche din mein lagbhag 4 se 5 ghante sote hain, na. Unko choti choti naps lene ki aadat hoti hai, toh zyada chinta mat karo.

I have raised three children, and let me tell you, every baby has their own clock. Usually, they sleep for 4 to 5 hours in the day at this stage. Don't stress over exact hours as long as the child is happy and active.

My son would barely sleep for 3 hours during the day at 3 months, and I was so worried. But my doctor said as long as he slept well at night, it was totally fine. Don't worry too much.

My pediatrician explained that at 3 months, babies have a total sleep need of 14-16 hours. Out of this, 4 to 5 hours of daytime sleep split into multiple naps is healthy for their brain development.

At Max Hospital, our pediatrician told us that 4 hours of nap time is the general average for a 3-month-old. It's best to ask your own doctor during the vaccination checkup to be absolutely sure.

Around 4-5 hours of daytime sleep divided into 3-4 sweet naps is the standard! Enjoy the quiet time while they sleep!

While 4 hours is typical, if your baby is sleeping excessively (over 6-7 hours in the day) and is too lethargic to feed, please get them checked by a pediatrician immediately.
