How much dandruff is normal?

I have some dandruff, especially in winter. It's not a huge amount, but it's definitely there. I was wondering how much dandruff is considered normal before I should start worrying or look for specific treatments.

A few small dry flakes during winter are completely normal, but I always worry it might be a fungal infection or psoriasis! If it starts itching like crazy or looks yellowish, please get it checked by a dermatologist.

A little bit of dry dust on your comb is normal, especially in dry weather. Just wash your hair twice a week with a basic anti-dandruff shampoo instead of trying twenty different home remedies.

I used to have light flaking, which was normal. But when it turned into thick, itchy scales, my dermatologist told me it was seborrheic dermatitis and prescribed a ketoconazole shampoo which worked wonders.

Haan na, thoda dandruff toh sabko hota hai in cold weather, ho na? Just don't let it build up too much or it starts causing hair fall. Regular hair wash is best!

A tiny bit of flaking is super common! Just apply a little warm coconut oil with lemon juice once a week, and your scalp will stay clean and happy.
