How much copper is in liver?
My doctor told me to add more iron to my diet, and someone mentioned that liver is good for that. I was wondering if liver also contains a good amount of copper, because I'm looking for foods rich in that too.

I eat mutton liver occasionally for my iron levels, and I read that just a small 100-gram serving can contain over 10 to 15 milligrams of copper, which is actually way more than the daily recommended limit. Because of this, I only eat it once in a while.
I freaked out when I first read about the high copper content in goat liver because I was eating it twice a week! But my doctor reassured me that having it once in a week or ten days is completely safe and won't cause any copper toxicity. Don't worry too much.
I have to be very careful with my diet and blood pressure, so I avoid heavy organ meats like liver altogether. It is rich in copper and cholesterol, so if you have lifestyle diseases, it's better to stick to lighter proteins and get regular checkups done.
Be careful with advice on eating liver for vitamin or copper deficiencies. High copper can damage your organs over time, so please get a proper blood panel done and consult a registered clinical nutritionist before changing your diet drastically.
Liver is indeed very high in copper, so eating it daily is not a good idea. Just limit your liver dishes to once a week or once in two weeks. It's a great, cheap source of nutrients if you eat it in moderate amounts.
