How much caffeine can cause a heart attack?

I drink a lot of coffee, especially when I'm working late. My mother keeps telling me it's bad for my heart. I wanted to know if there's a specific amount of caffeine that could actually be dangerous and cause a heart attack.

Honestly, for most healthy adults, up to 400mg of caffeine daily (around 4 cups of coffee) is perfectly safe. You'd need to consume a massive amount, like 10,000mg, to cause a fatal overdose, which is almost impossible from just drinking liquid coffee. But if you already have a heart condition, even a couple of energy drinks can trigger severe palpitations.

Hey! I used to drink three huge cups of strong coffee during my college exams and my heart would beat so fast, which really scared me. Now I limit myself to just one or two cups a day. If your chest ever feels tight or painful after caffeine, please go straight to a hospital and don't take it lightly.

My college-going son started drinking multiple pre-workout energy drinks and ended up in the emergency room with severe chest pain and a racing heart. The doctors strictly warned him that abusing concentrated caffeine powders or energy drinks can damage the heart. Parents, please keep an eye on what supplements your kids are taking.

I literally start panicking if I drink even a second cup of tea because I read that too much caffeine can cause arrhythmia. The safe limit is supposedly 400mg, but some bodies are just so sensitive to stimulants. Please, if you feel any chest pain, sudden dizziness, or breathing issues, don't wait—go get checked by a cardiologist immediately.

My cardiologist explained that while caffeine toxicity usually occurs at extremely high doses (above 10 grams), even moderate amounts can be dangerous if there is an underlying undiagnosed heart defect. He advised staying below 300mg of caffeine daily. If you ever experience sudden chest pressure, shortness of breath, or sweating, treat it as a medical emergency.
