How much brown rice can a diabetic eat?

My father was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The doctor told him to switch to brown rice. He loves his chawal, so I'm wondering kitna brown rice is actually safe for him to eat in a day? We want to make sure he's managing his sugar well.

Let's be honest, brown rice is not as tasty as a hot plate of basmati, but you can make it delicious! I keep my portion to a small katori, and load it up with spicy paneer bhurji and salads. Just watch the quantity, because carb is still carb, even if it is brown!

I used to cry in the kitchen because I missed eating white rice so much after my diagnosis, feeling like my life was over. Transitioning to brown rice was hard, but my doctor told me to limit it to just a small cup (about 100g) mixed with lots of dal and veggies. It gets easier, friend, don't lose heart.

I have a very busy office routine, so I batch-cook brown rice for 2-3 days. Having just one small cup with my lunch is easy to pack and keeps me full without afternoon energy crashes. If you're busy, just stick to this simple single-cup rule.

Brown rice is quite expensive compared to normal rice, so don't feel pressured to buy it if it doesn't fit your budget. You can just eat a smaller portion of normal rice with double the amount of fiber-rich dal and cabbage. A simple blood sugar test 2 hours after your meal will show you what works best for your pocket and health.

I used to panic every time I ate even a spoonful of rice, thinking my sugar would cross 300. But once I met my dietician, she reassured me that a small bowl of brown rice (around 100 grams cooked) is perfectly fine. Just measure your portions and enjoy your food calmly.

Dealing with insulin resistance in PCOS is very similar to diabetes, so I am always careful with grains. I eat about 3-4 tablespoons of brown rice mixed with sprouts. It is always better to monitor your own body's reaction and check with your doctor, as everyone's insulin sensitivity is different.

Please be very careful with rice portions. I ignored my diet limits and ended up with diabetic neuropathy due to high blood sugar levels. Even brown rice has carbs that can spike your sugar if eaten in large amounts. Please consult your physician to set a safe meal plan.

Hey! My mom is diabetic and she eats about half a plate of brown rice for lunch, but she always pairs it with a big bowl of green vegetables and curd. The fiber really helps in keeping the blood sugar from spiking. Just try to avoid eating it for dinner.
