How much are malaria pills?

I'm planning a trip to a malaria-prone area soon and want to take preventive measures. How much do malaria pills usually cost in India? Trying to factor it into my travel budget.

The basic course of malaria pills is actually very cheap, usually under 200 to 500 rupees in India. But please make sure to get a proper blood test done before starting any dose. Just like I have to monitor my thyroid levels regularly, you need proper medical tests to confirm malaria first.

The pills are quite affordable, but they can be very heavy on your stomach. When my cousin was taking them, we made sure to give him light, easily digestible vegetarian meals like khichdi and fresh buttermilk. Always eat well before taking such strong medication.

I completely understand the panic when you think you might have malaria. It is normal to feel scared, but the treatment is highly effective and the pills cost very little at any local pharmacy. Just focus on resting and let the doctors handle the prescription.

I was actually just looking this up because of the high mosquito activity in our area. From what I read, standard antimalarial tablets are very basic and cost around 100-300 rupees for the whole strip. It's good to know they are so accessible.

Yes, they are very cheap, usually under 300 rupees. Make sure you don't take them on an empty stomach to avoid severe acidity.

Please do not buy or take any malaria pills without a proper doctor's prescription. Self-medication can be dangerous because different types of malaria require different drugs. Get a proper blood test done at a certified lab first.

Haan, medicines are actually very cheap in India, maximum 200-300 rupees ka kharcha hai. But doctor se consult karke hi lena na, apne aap se koi bhi high dose tablet mat shuru karna.

When my son got malaria last monsoon, his pediatric tablets were very inexpensive, maybe around 150 rupees. The main challenge was making sure he drank enough fluids because the fever was very high. Keep giving them coconut water and rest.

You can get these tablets at any pharmacy or order them online via 1mg or Apollo within 2 hours. A standard strip of generic antimalarials costs less than 200 rupees. Just upload your prescription and get it delivered, no hassle.

In our days, malaria was very common and we used to take chloroquine which was extremely cheap, just a few rupees. Even now, the modern tablets are very affordable and easily available. Don't worry at all, just follow the doctor's full course without skipping.

My roommate had malaria last semester and I got her medicines from the local chemist. The entire course was just around 250 rupees, so it's not expensive at all. Just make sure you get the exact brand and dosage that your doctor has written on the prescription.

If you are taking malaria medication and have diabetes like me, please watch your blood sugar levels closely. Some of these tablets can cause fluctuations. The medicine itself is cheap, but managing your diet during the fever is the most important part.
