How many x rays can cause cancer?

I had a few X-rays done recently for a persistent cough, and now I'm worried if it's too much. Someone told me X-rays can cause cancer. How many X-rays can actually cause cancer?

A single X-ray has extremely low radiation, so it won't cause cancer. Just make sure you only get them done when a doctor specifically asks for it, and don't go for unnecessary scans.

Please don't worry about this. Modern X-ray machines use very safe, minimal amounts of radiation, so having a few tests is completely fine.

I totally get it, medical tests can sometimes make us really anxious about long-term risks. But honestly, the radiation is so minor that the benefit of finding a health issue early far outweighs any tiny risk.

I have had multiple X-rays over my life for various bone issues and dental work. My doctors always assured me it was safe, and I have never faced any issues from them.

In my 65 years of life, I and my family members have undergone many X-rays for different health issues. None of us ever had any problems; these modern machines are built very safely now.

The radiation exposure is minimal, so you shouldn't worry about cancer from standard X-rays. Keeping your stress levels down is much more important for managing your blood pressure.

An occasional X-ray is completely safe and won't cause cancer. Since I manage diabetes, I focus more on keeping my blood sugar levels in check, as high sugar poses a much more immediate threat to my health.

A few medical X-rays are harmless and sometimes necessary for diagnostic purposes. Practicing daily pranayama helps calm the mind and reduces any anxiety you might have about these procedures.

Haan na, we unnecessarily worry about these tests. Modern machines are very advanced and safe, so there is no need to take stress about cancer at all.

You would need thousands of chest X-rays in a very short time to even slightly increase your risk. Stop overthinking these medical procedures and focus on getting diagnosed correctly.

Getting a routine X-ray is safer than eating street food every single day! Don't worry about the radiation; just go get your test done so you can recover quickly.

I agree. The radiation from a standard X-ray is equivalent to just a few days of natural background radiation we get from the environment.
