How many type of arthritis?

My mother-in-law has been complaining about joint pain for ages, and her doctor mentioned arthritis. I was wondering, actually, how many different types of arthritis are there?

There are actually over 100 different types of arthritis, though osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are the most common. Because the treatment for each type is very different, getting an accurate diagnosis from a rheumatologist is crucial.

Please get this checked properly by a specialist. I ignored my joint pain thinking it was just normal wear and tear, but it turned out to be inflammatory arthritis and caused joint damage. Early diagnosis can save you from a lot of permanent pain.

Whether it is osteoarthritis or gout, the main thing is managing the daily stiffness. I have joint pain too, and keeping the weight in check and doing gentle knee exercises on the bed helps a lot. Hot water fermentation also gives quick relief on bad days.

Bro, there are tons of types, but mainly people talk about Osteo and Rheumatoid. I got diagnosed with early gout last year because of high uric acid. Trust me, get your blood work done instead of guessing which type you might have.

Most people think arthritis only happens to old people, but even kids can get it—it is called Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. My daughter has to manage this daily. If you or a family member has joint swelling, please see a pediatric or general rheumatologist soon.

There are many types, but they all require you to change your lifestyle. Just like my high blood pressure, arthritis needs regular doctor consultations and blood tests like uric acid and RA factor to keep things under control.
